Carlos González, president of the Carlos González Foundation, has shared on many occasions his story as a child who underwent the narrow circumstances of a sport structure that lacked the resources to offer him all the tools he needed for success.
For this reason, he will dedicate this 2017 to keep supporting young baseball players who have the talent to compete beyond Venezuelan borders.
His compromise this year is to support a team from the Zulia state that needs financial aid to cover travel expenses to participate in an international competition. This means to collaborate through his Foundation with the cost of airline tickets, a help which the foundation has gladly offered in the past.
Likewise, he will keep working closely with sports in the United States, where he has built strong bonds with organizations like Boys and Girl Club of Metro Denver and the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, whom he looks forward to support again through a baseball workshop for kids with Down syndrome.
